FOUR STEP GUIDE FOR POSTING ADS.


How to prepare your ads off line.



Step 1. To create a "My Ads" folder:
First decide where you want to keep your folder
(eg. My Documents, Desktop, etc.) 
When ready Right click mouse and from the menu 
select New, then select Folder and Left click on it,
a new folder will appear, put your mouse pointer 
over the folder, Right click and from the menu select 
Rename, type: My Ads. and press enter on your keyboard.

Your "My Ads" Folder is now ready for use.


Step 2. Prepare your Ad for Copy And Paste:
Open your My Ads folder and create a new text document,
(for Microsoft users, Right click mouse and from menu select New, 
then select and click on Text Document.) 
Open up your new Document, Then type your ad,
When finished Left click on File (Top Left) and
select "Save As" type a name for your Ad then press Save.



Step 3. Photos you wish to display:
If you are not using a picture then skip to step 4.
Please make sure Any Pictures you wish to use are in jpeg or gif format,
And are no bigger than, 320 x 320 pixels, or 11.2 x 11.2 cm, 
or 4.5 x 4.5 inches. Re-size them if necessary. 
When photo is ready save a copy of it into your "My Ads" folder.


Repeat steps 2 & 3 for any additional ads you wish to post.

You are now ready to post your ad.

Step 4. Posting your Ads:
Go on line and connect to www.swapshop-uk.co.uk sign in and you will be on 
"your account page", click on Post New Ad 
You will then be taken to your "add asset page". Select a category from the 
drop down list (e.g., Auto) in the Title: box type what you want to be displayed 
as your Advert Heading, (What you type is what you'll see). 
Now either type your ad or use cut and paste to fill in the Description:
If you are using pictures with your ad then click on the Browse button at the 
side of  Images: from the pop up window that opens navigate to the image you
 wish to display then click on Open:
If you have more images then please use the next box down, add only one
 picture per box, when finished with images type the amount you want if applicable 
 in the Price: box (you don't need to type the £ sign)
 then set Priority: to either "Featured" or "Standard" Then click Submit.
To see your Ad click on Home at the top of the page.
